Overview (15 km trip from Bouillon to Poupehan):
The landscape of the route is varied. Along the trip you will pass by a castle, little towns, pastures, forests and big rock faces.
Most of the route is calm but there are some stretches with descents, little cascades, and waves that can be tricky.
This trip requires some endurance, especially if you plan to go kayaking alone with your dog. It can take between 2-3 hours of rowing depending on your level of fitness, the number of people rowing and weight of your dog.
Depending on the time, you can stop for a picnic at the Moulin du Rivage, at the foot of the Tombeau du Géant with your kayak.
There are bits along the route where the water is shallow and you can get out of the kayak with your dog for a swim.
If this is the first time kayaking with your dog, they might be a bit too excited (to jump into the water) or scared of the movement. Bring along some treats for positive reinforcement and to calm them down while you row. This should be a pleasant and fun experience for the both of you :)
